For anyone who has to conduct a research project and does not have time to wade through complicated research textbooks, this up-to-date handbook explains technical jargon in a concise way and includes practical examples to illustrate the issues raised.

When I first started out in my research career, I wasalmost put off by the textbooks I was asked to read. They were full of technical jargon which I foundimpossible to understand. As a result I felt quitestupid, believing I was a fraud who had no right to bestudying on my course.

All students should read this book. I now understandwhat research is all about - I've even got my headaround the theory as well as the actual methods. I'vecompleted the research for my dissertation and it wasmuch easier than I thought, thanks to this book.
