As somebody fortunate enough to witness John F. McEldowney's instructive and pioneering lectures I was most keen to purchase the latest edition of his Public Law series. Neddless to say, i was not disappointed. It is as comprehensive as it is authoritative, and conveys the author's clear dedication to this area of law, encompassing a broad selection of checks and balances in each subject. To conclude, if I may, this is a vital purchase for those seeking a more advanced but readily comprehensible study of the constititional and administrative law of the UK.
